Use Photography or Cinema Lenses
In addition to using native L-Mount lenses, Blackmagic Cinema Camera works with a wide range of new and vintage photographic and cinema lenses! This means you can use the lenses you already own to capture high quality images. Add an adapter to use Canon EF, Nikon F or even Leica M photographic lenses. Or use PL and LPL cine lenses from manufacturers such as Zeiss, Arri and Cooke. This flexibility means you can choose virtually any lens to achieve your creative vision!
Customizable Rigs and Mounts
The 1/4" thread mounting points on the top and bottom of Blackmagic Cinema Camera make it easy to mount on vehicles, lighting rigs, cranes and more to capture stunning full frame imagery from places it’s hard for a cameraman to shoot! Attach external microphones or small accessories using the top mount point while the bottom can be used for tripods with rails for lenses, follow focus systems, matte boxes and ND filters. Or attach handheld gimbals for smooth handheld shots without vibration!
Professional OLED Viewfinder
Add an optional viewfinder to the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K for a more immersive shooting experience! The bright OLED display makes it easy to critically compose shots using focus peaking and false color with accuracy. Plus you can closely monitor important information such as frame rate, histogram, record status, audio meters and more, so you can keep track of camera parameters while shooting. The EVF even includes 4 different types of eyecups along with options for both left or right eyes.

Battery Grip for Non Stop Shooting!
Blackmagic Pocket Camera Battery Pro Grip adds two extra NP-F570 batteries to the Cinema Camera 6K for over 3 hours of shooting on a single charge. Featuring a unique carbon fiber design, non‑slip hand grips and a slide out tray, the battery grip makes long shoots easier because it gives you more to hold onto. You can view the status of the grip’s batteries on the touchscreen display, and charge the batteries via the camera’s 12V DC power connection in between takes!

Blackmagic Cinema Camera uses high speed CFexpress Type B cards which are much faster than even the fastest SD/UHS-II or CFast 2.0 cards. The high read and write speeds of CFexpress means you can easily record HD, Ultra HD, 4K and even 6K. When working in Blackmagic RAW, you can record an hour of full cinematic quality footage in 6K on a single 512GB CFexpress card. You can even record to external SSDs using the USB‑C expansion port, making it possible to extend those recording times further.
Phantom Powered Pro Microphones
In addition to 4 built in microphones, the Blackmagic Cinema Camera features 2 mini XLR inputs with 48V of phantom power so you can use high quality microphones for the ultimate in audio flexibility. That means you don’t have to carry extra power supplies or portable mixers! You can choose from the highest quality boom mics, shotgun or wireless lapel microphones and much more! Timecode Generators for Perfect Sync
When shooting with multiple cameras, you can choose to record timecode via the camera’s XLR connection or plug in an external 3.5mm timecode generator to ensure perfect timecode sync. Roving cameras can independently start and stop recording while storing perfect timecode sync in the file metadata, allowing powerful multi camera workflows for music festivals, weddings and interviews. DaVinci Resolve automatically finds and syncs the shots from all cameras so you can complete the edit quickly!
